Carroll A. Pinner, III, M.D.

Pinner Clinic, a family practice, was opened in 1915 and has since grown into an integral part of the Newberry, Richland, and Lexington Counties. Benjamin C. Pinner, M.D. Lori Turner, APRN
Kelsey Rutter, APRN

Pinner Clinic treats patients of any age, from newborns to geriatrics. In our office, we are capable of treating minor trauma such as simple factures, lacerations, burns, and office surgery.

We do not practice obstetrics, but are able to do some outpatient gynecology such as pap smears and colposcopies. We are also able to perform x-rays, EKGs, spirometry and DEXA screenings, DOT exams, sports and school physicals, and drug screenings

Dr. Ben Pinner also performs colonoscopy and EGD exams for our patients on Wednesdays at Sandhills Endoscopy Center, located in Northeast Columbia, SC.

On May 1, 2026 Doctor Carroll Pinner and his sister, Laura Pinner West, both accepted the Distinguished Service Award from Wake Forest University.

This award is presented to alumni or individuals who have made outstanding contributions to Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, the community and/or the practice of medicine. This individual through volunteerism, philanthropy or leadership will have benefited the institution in a significant way.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Dr. Carroll Alexander Pinner III, MD '71, and his lifelong dedication to family medicine and the community he serves. From continuing a family medical legacy that began in 1915 to providing compassionate care for generations of families in Peak and surrounding communities, Dr. Pinner's impact is truly remarkable. His leadership, service, and commitment to patient care have earned countless honors throughout his distinguished career, including being named Top Doctor and Top Practice in Newberry County in 2025.

Pinner Clinic as a whole is beyond proud to be part of this legacy of compassionate, community-centered care that has now spanned over 110 years and four generations.

Our Sock Drive runs through October 31st, and all donations will go to God’s Abundance for All People in Newberry to help those in need this season.
