Yesterday I took a leap and tried something I had never done before and had always wanted to do.
I love being in nature and I love horses. Yesterday I celebrated my birthday riding a horse for the very first time. What an amazing day it was.

Life is a journey filled with lessons, grief, heartaches, joys, adventures, triumphs and treasured moments.

I give thanks to the Creator for another trip around the sun, and I honor my mom up in heaven for bringing me into this world.
Without her I would not be here.

Life hasn’t always been easy but I give thanks each day that I awaken to a new day.
I’ve suffered through emotional abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse, substance abuse, debilitating and excruciating pain and near death experiences.
I’ve made bad choices in life and I’ve hurt others, I’ve had my share of resentments, anger and guilt.
I’ve also loved others, forgiven others, learned to love myself and forgive myself. I’ve been blessed with a wonderful husband, a beautiful family and a second chance at life more than once. I have helped and done for others in so many ways, sometimes to my own detriment.
Some have been grateful and some have not.
I learned to make my self care a priority and accept that I am not responsible for others’ feelings and reactions. I move forward in life knowing that although I am not perfect, I will continue to live my life the best I know how until it’s time for me to leave this planet.

I’ve learned to accept living life on life’s terms.

Today I was sitting here on this bench on my patio enjoying nature and the weather. I then had a visit from hummingbirds. One hovered in front of me flanked by a hummingbird on each side of it. Then a beautiful red butterfly with yellow spots landed on the tree beside them. The hummingbird hovered in front of me as though it had a message to deliver. I was mesmerized watching them, then I thought let me get my camera and as I reached for my phone they all disappeared just as quickly as they had appeared. It felt pretty magical to me

Nadine is a single mom raising 4 children ages 3 thru 16 (three of which are special needs). Nadine has the biggest heart and has always pushed forward to do the best she can for her children while also making herself available to help others in need.
Most recently Nadine saved an elderly woman which she came upon while out for a walk. The elderly woman had fell and was sitting in a pool of blood with bones protruding from her arm. Realizing time was of the essence Nadine took off her own blouse and used it as a tourniquet to stop the woman’s bleeding and save her life.This was six weeks ago and the woman is still in the hospital as she lost a lot of blood and is still very weak, thankfully she is recovering.
Today we are asking for help for Nadine who recently was diagnosed with a serious heart condition and a serious lung condition and will be having surgery next week. Please keep Nadine and her children in your prayers. Nadine was advised by her cardiologist to consider moving before winter time to somewhere with lower levels of pollution and where she could live a less stressful life making it easier on her heart and lungs.
A lower cost of living outside of NY will definitely relieve some of her stress as a single mother struggling with financial issues as well as health issues.
Nadine deserves a better chance to live a healthier and stress free life and her children definitely need their mom to be healthy.
Nadine would like to move to Arizona where she has family and when visiting has found it to be easier on her lungs there.
Her children will benefit from the year round warmth and sunshine, cultural diversity, smaller classroom settings and mild winters which will allow them to go biking, hiking and explore nature year round. As a single mother raising 4 children in NYC it presents a financial hardship for Nadine to make that move. She will need funds to move from NY to Arizona and to fly all her children there.
Your kindness can make a difference in someone else’s life today. We are humbly asking for your help so that Nadine and her 4 children will be able to manage financially and relocate before November. Thank you and may God bless you.
