Ever close an app... only to open another one a few seconds later?

That’s the cycle many people refer to as “brain rot.”

While it’s not a mental health diagnosis, constantly consuming short-form content can make it harder to focus, stay present, or tolerate boredom.

One of the most common things I hear is:

“But my baby is healthy... so why can’t I move on?”

Because trauma isn’t defined only by the outcome. It’s also shaped by how safe, supported, and in control you felt during the experience. A psychiatric evaluation can help identify what’s contributing to your symptoms, provide clarity, and connect you with the right treatment and support. Schedule your psychiatric evaluation today.

"Cortisol" has become a buzzword on social media but is it really the villain it's often made out to be?

Not quite.

Cortisol is your body's primary stress hormone, but it does much more than respond to stress. It helps regulate your sleep, metabolism, immune system, blood sugar, and gives you the energy to face everyday challenges.

The problem isn't cortisol itself, it's when your body stays in "stress mode" for too long.

Chronic stress can keep cortisol elevated, which may contribute to anxiety, poor sleep, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and other physical health concerns.

The goal isn't to eliminate cortisol. It's to help your body return to balance.

If stress has become your normal, it may be time to check in with your mental health. Support is available, and you don't have to navigate it alone.
