92 never looked so sweet! 🍌💕

Today we had the joy of celebrating Ruby Morgan’s 92nd birthday with our HOPE family.

Ruby has lived with us the longest, which makes celebrating another birthday with her even more special. When we asked what she wanted for her birthday, she requested banana pudding — so of course, banana pudding it was!

Ruby, you are such a blessing to our home, and we are so thankful for the memories, smiles, and love you bring to HOPE.

Please help us wish Ruby a very happy 92nd birthday! 🎂🎉

Today was such a special day at HOPE. 💙🧡⚾️

One of our sweet residents turned 83 years old, and Michele Ayala with Essential Hospice, Misty and Emily his caregiver’s went above and beyond to make him feel celebrated with the most amazing Astros-themed birthday party.

The decorations, the food, the thoughtful details, and the joy in the room were so appreciated. These are the moments that matter most — making our residents feel loved, seen, and celebrated.

Thank you, Michelle, for always showing up with such a big heart for our residents and their families. We are so grateful for you and for the Essential Hospice team.

And of course, Palmer made sure to be part of the party too… but he is officially pooped out. 🐾💙🧡

Tonight, I had to have one of the hardest conversations we have in this line of work—talking with a family about the possibility of hospice care for their loved one.
Those conversations are never easy. There’s fear, uncertainty, and often a sense of “giving up.”
But then I looked at this photo.
This is Robert and Lorine.
Robert was a professor at Lamar University for 44 years. When he first came to us two years ago, he rarely left his room and didn’t want to participate in activities. Today, after a year on hospice with Essential Hospice, he’s engaged, present, and truly living his life.
Lorine recently moved from Ingelside Texas to be closer to her daughter in League City. Her daughter wasn’t sure she’d ever get to enjoy outings with her mom again. But tonight, we’re taking Lorraine out to the Hometown Opry something that once felt impossible.
This is what hospice really is.
It’s not about giving up.
It’s about support. Comfort. Dignity. Presence.
As Michele Ayala so beautifully says:
“Hospice can’t
add days to your life—but it can add life to your days.”
And sometimes… that changes everything 💙

When families first walk into HOPE Residential Assisted Living, many of them say the same thing:
