It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Dr. Vincent P. Bakey, a deeply respected optometrist who devoted decades of his life to caring for patients in our community.
Dr. Bakey was one of the longest-practicing optometrists in our area, and his impact reaches far beyond the many years he spent serving others. He earned the trust of generations of patients through his knowledge, compassion, dedication, and genuine care for every person who walked through his doors.
We are incredibly grateful for Dr. Bakey’s contributions to the profession, to our community, and to the countless lives he touched throughout his remarkable career. His legacy will live on through the patients he cared for, the colleagues he inspired, and the community that was fortunate enough to know him.
Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family, friends, patients, and loved ones during this difficult time. He will be greatly missed and always remembered.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home, 601 Dundaff Street, Dickson City.
