BACK TO THE RESILIENT FUTURE

“Great Scott… don’t let them rewrite your story.”

Imagine thirty years from now, I step out of a time machine to warn my younger self…

“Listen carefully. There will come a season when people you’ve never wronged will decide who you are without ever taking the time to know you. They’ll repeat stories, assume motives, and mistake your determination for something it isn’t. Don’t waste your energy trying to convince people committed to misunderstanding you.”

“Keep building.”

“Keep serving.”

“Keep showing up.”

Because here’s what I learned…

People don’t always see you. They see a reflection through the lens of their own experiences, disappointments, fears, and expectations. That’s their mirror, not your identity.

Over the past few months I’ve also learned something else.

I have brothers in Christ.
I have true friends.
I have good acquaintances.
And then there are people who were never really in my corner to begin with.

That’s life.

So stop counting critics and start counting purpose.

My response won’t be arguments, gossip, or revenge.

It will be work.
It will be consistency.
It will be character.
It will be results.

Time has a way of exposing what’s real.

To those who stood beside me when it wasn’t popular, thank you! I won’t forget it.

To everyone else…

The future will answer the questions that words never could.
