Representatives of Reditus Laboratories delivered a presentation on UroVysion, a bladder cancer test that is more sensitive than other tests for the disease, at Midwest Urological Group recently. Speaking for Reditus were Karen Simpson, general supervisor of cytogenetics; Michelle Anderson, director of operations; and Mark Potts, cytogenetics and digital pathology technologist. Dr. Joseph Banno, of Midwest Urological Group, said the group wants to expand its use of UroVysion. "As diagnostics have become more sophisticated, we're looking at the molecular makeup of the cell, which is giving us more definitive information on the diagnosis and treatment of the cancer," Banno said. In the first photo, talking after the presentation, are, from left to right, Josh Auer, advanced practice registered nurse; Banno; Laura Wilson Brown, physician assistant, certified; Anderson and Simpson. In the second photo, Potts, Anderson and Simpson listen during the meeting. Urologists interested in Reditus performing UroVysion for them may contact Simpson at [email protected].
