Before my addiction I had a good life. I have the best parents anyone could ask for, met a beautiful woman in 2012, got married and had our first kids in 2015. I started drinking at a young age and eventually got into other drugs and opiates after having my son. I was ruining everything I ever wanted, pushing my family away, and disappointing everyone I love by going in and out of jail since 2020. August 3rd, 2026 I came to Mosaic. Since I have been at Mosaic I have been working on reconciling everything that I have lost and am constantly growing closer to God. Mosaic and CIty Light are. impacting my life in ways I didn't think were possible. When God is in the picture, nothing is impossible. Today my relationship with my wife and kids and mom are great thanks to Him!

I am 43 years old from Jasper, TN. I started using at 16 socially until I graduated high school and it progressed to harder drugs. I have had a few years of sobriety, multiple times, throughout the years but I feel like I didn't know how to live life on life's terms properly so I would always find a way to justify me using again. It got to the point to where I called on God to help me stop because I knew I couldn't on my own power. On November 10, 2025 I overdosed in a public bathroom and when I came to the police were standing over me. That was God's way of sitting me down and opening my eyes to the need of fully surrendering to Him. God's grace allowed me to come to Mosaic Center and have time to focus on being the man He always intended for me to be. I am now 10 months clean from everything. I'm currently working on restoring damaged relationships, especially with my kids. I have rededicated my life to Jesus, I've been baptized at my home church, City Light, and working everyday to be a better person than I was the day before.
