Great way to beat the heat as a family this summer! Make sure to plan ahead and reserve your tickets!

The Summer Free Movie Series kicks off next week!!
With less seating, things are going to look a little different this year! Here’s the scoop!

- We will have two showings every Wednesday. 10:30am and 12:30pm.
- To secure your space, you will need to claim your tickets on the website. www.pella-cinemas.com, or at the Cinema concessions during opening hours.
- These tickets will still be free!!
- Tickets will be on sale the Thursday of the week prior to the movie.
- PLEASE ONLY CLAIM TICKETS IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND!
- If you claim tickets and then are unable to attend, please pass them along to someone else.
- We will keep everyone informed on availability as we get closer.
- We love our sponsored movies and we want to make sure that all three theaters are full for both showings!!
- Please be patient as we navigate this new system. We believe that this is the best way to move forward with this event while trying to avoid last minute disappointment for the kids (and adults!)

Next Wednesday, June 3rd, we’ll be showing Sonic The Hedgehog, thanks to our generous sponsors at Madsen Van Tassell Wealth Management with Edward Jones!

Tickets will be available tomorrow morning at 7:30am!

In observance of Memorial Day, our office will be closed Monday, May 25.

As we enjoy time with family and friends this weekend, we pause to recognize the true meaning of the holiday: honoring those who gave their lives in service to our country. We also remember, honor and thank the spouses, children, families, and loved ones who carried on at home during times of service and loss. We thank them for their strength, sacrifice, and unwavering support.

There is no perfect moment to quit or start over. No ideal Monday. No magical "rock bottom". No version of you that suddenly feels 100% ready.

A new beginning is not a date on a calendar- it is a decision you make, right now.

You do not need a clean slate or perfect conditions. You can begin in the middle of the mess, in the middle of a random Tuesday, in the middle of not feeling ready. You can start while things are still chaotic, without confidence, even after a slip.

Your past does not disqualify you. Your timing does not have to be perfect.

Anytime is a good time for a new beginning.

Children’s mental health is key to their growth and well-being. It involves learning, building relationships, and handling challenges. Sometimes it’s difficult to tell if behaviors are typical or need professional attention.

If a child is struggling, the whole family may feel the impact. Remember, support and hope are always available. Check out SAMHSA’s website for resources, or contact the Keys to Success office for help and encouragement.

1 in 5 adults in the U.S. experience a mental health condition each year- and conditions like depression remain a leading cause of disability worldwide.

Even though many mental health challenges are treatable, stigma still keeps many people from reaching out. And for those in rural and underserved communities, getting care is not always easy or accessible.

But there is hope: connection matters. A simple check-in, a conversation, or showing up for someone can make a real difference.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, let's turn awareness into action:
• Check in with one person this week
• Start one honest conversation about mental health
• Share a resource or story to help reduce stigma

Small actions add up. Together, we can create spaces where people feel seen, supported, and able to get the help they deserve.

It truly takes a community - people showing up for one another, championing growth, celebrating progress, and getting excited about the good happening around them.

That is why Celebrate Recovery is so impactful. It is more than a program, it is a place where healing is shared and hope is built together. And now, they are expanding that support to children!

Kids who have walked through an adult's struggle with substance use often carry their own questions, emotions, and stories. They deserve a safe space to process, to be understood, and to know they are not alone. The same is true for children who have witnessed the journey of recovery, they need space to make sense of that transformation too.

Be sure to check out what Celebrate Recovery is doing and help spread the word! Communities grow stronger when we care for every member- especially the youngest ones!

There's exciting news at Celebrate Recovery of Pella!!
Celebration Place is launching on May 14!!

Kids are like sponges, absorbing so much every single day. This includes the good, the bad, and the ugly. If you have a hurt, habit of hang-up, chances are your beautiful kiddos do too. When one person in the family is in recovery, the entire family is in recovery.

Celebration place is designed to help your kids from Kindergarden through 6th grade develop life skills that are vital in their times of struggle and in daily life. Children will be equiped with healthy coping skills, stategies and values to prevent the development of unhealthy coping skills that that lead to poor life choices. We like to think of Celebration Place as Pre-recovery.

Here, at Celebration place, we pray that your kids find friendships, learn to lean on Jesus, and expeirience hope and joy.

Celebrate Recovery meets at The Well in Pella every thursday evening starting with a meal at 5:30.
