🌿Life transitions are significant changes that occur throughout life, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another one. These transitions can be anticipated life events, such as graduation or entering the workforce, or unexpected ones, such as a breakup or chronic illness.

Transitions can be stressful and disrupt your identity and your sense of stability. When your environment shifts, your brain searches for safety and predictability. Reacting to life transitions by experiencing anxiety, grief, or irritability is incredibly common, even when the change is positive. In fact, two things can be true: You’re grateful, and you’re overwhelmed.

Whether you are planning to embark on a new chapter of life or trying to adapt to changes that already took place, adjustment struggles are common and treatable. Support during life transitions can make all the difference.

For every NO you say to others, consider what you’re saying YES to for yourself.

For example, instead of simply saying, “I don’t have time to talk right now,” you might say, “I’m busy at the moment, but can we schedule a time to talk tomorrow?”
