Had the chance to serve as a Table Captain today for Habitat for Humanity of Madison County’s Building a Foundation of Hope luncheon.

Great cause, great people, and lots of laughs at our table. My favorite moment might have been pulling out a business checkbook and realizing most of the table was staring at me. I explained it was a business checkbook and I don’t use personal checks anymore. That didn’t stop them from giving me a hard time 🤣

It was a wonderful lunch spent with people who care about making a difference in our community. Thank you to everyone who joined us at the table and to Habitat for all the work they do right here in Madison County.

Also, I successfully kept everyone at the table entertained, so I’m counting that as a Table Captain win. 😉🏠❤️

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day as we take time to reflect, spend time with loved ones, and appreciate the sacrifices made for us all.

This guy. ❤️

We celebrated our anniversary Thursday and my birthday yesterday… and once again, he made sure I felt loved, celebrated, and taken care of the entire time.

I know I stress him out sometimes. 😂 But truthfully… Lookworthy Esthetics By Brena would not be what it is without him and his support behind the scenes.

From being my sounding board, to hauling water, fixing equipment, building things, carrying boxes, listening to my nonstop ideas, understanding the calls, texts, research, late-night shopping orders, and everything that goes into running all of this… he’s been there through it all.

A lot of people see me and the business. But there’s a whole lot of him in this place too. I mean… technically it’s his last name on the business anyway, so I guess he’s pretty invested at this point. 😂

And I’ll always be thankful for that. ❤️
