βοΈ Happy First Day of School, Pendleton! π
Today is the first day of school for students in our community, and we want to wish all of our local students, teachers, and families a wonderful start to the new school year! We hope today brings lots of smiles, a little excitement, and maybe even a few butterflies. π
As we kick off a new school year, we asked our staff to share some of their favorite ways they spent their summer break. βοΈ From family adventures and time outdoors to music, travel, and making memories, hereβs a glimpse at what kept our team busy this summer!
π Dr. Rogers β Picking huckleberries and making scones.
πΆ Dr. Rickman β Kayaking, walking her golden retriever π₯°π, and gardening all spring and summer.
π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ Dr. Wyland β Getting together with family, snuggling with her granddaughter, gardening, and traveling.
πΆ Dr. Hancock β Music festivals! She enjoys hosting visitors from the East for our local music festivals, visiting parks and restaurants featuring live music, attending the OE Symphony Orchestra, and playing clarinet in the Windy River Symphony Orchestra.
π¦ Joan β Her annual Bubble Run tradition in Portland with her grandkids!
π Vanessa β The beach and the aquarium!
π₯Ύπ£ Michelle β Hiking, fishing, paddleboarding, and a trip to the Redwoods. Fern Canyon was a favorite!
βΎ Amanda β A Savannah Bananas baseball game and time at the coast.
ποΈ Caren β Camping with loved ones and enjoying some time out of cell service. π€
π Erin β Visiting the coast whenever she can!
It sounds like our team made the most of summer! βοΈ
And now that backpacks are packed and alarm clocks are ringing again, weβre wishing all the students in our community a happy first day and a fantastic school year ahead! πβ¨
