✏️ Happy First Day of School, Pendleton! 🎒

Today is the first day of school for students in our community, and we want to wish all of our local students, teachers, and families a wonderful start to the new school year! We hope today brings lots of smiles, a little excitement, and maybe even a few butterflies. 💙

As we kick off a new school year, we asked our staff to share some of their favorite ways they spent their summer break. ☀️ From family adventures and time outdoors to music, travel, and making memories, here’s a glimpse at what kept our team busy this summer!

🍓 Dr. Rogers — Picking huckleberries and making scones.

🛶 Dr. Rickman — Kayaking, walking her golden retriever 🥰😎, and gardening all spring and summer.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Dr. Wyland — Getting together with family, snuggling with her granddaughter, gardening, and traveling.

🎶 Dr. Hancock — Music festivals! She enjoys hosting visitors from the East for our local music festivals, visiting parks and restaurants featuring live music, attending the OE Symphony Orchestra, and playing clarinet in the Windy River Symphony Orchestra.

💦 Joan — Her annual Bubble Run tradition in Portland with her grandkids!

🐠 Vanessa — The beach and the aquarium!

🥾🎣 Michelle — Hiking, fishing, paddleboarding, and a trip to the Redwoods. Fern Canyon was a favorite!

⚾ Amanda — A Savannah Bananas baseball game and time at the coast.

🏕️ Caren — Camping with loved ones and enjoying some time out of cell service. 🖤

🌊 Erin — Visiting the coast whenever she can!

It sounds like our team made the most of summer! ☀️

And now that backpacks are packed and alarm clocks are ringing again, we’re wishing all the students in our community a happy first day and a fantastic school year ahead! 📚✨

🎉 What a night! 🎉

We had an absolute blast Kicking It Up After 5 last night! Thank you to everyone who came out to spend the evening with us. Seeing so many families, friends, and community members enjoying the evening together made it truly special. 💙

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing staff for all the time, energy, and teamwork that went into making the event such a success. We couldn’t have done it without you! 👏

And a special thank you to the Pendleton Chamber for partnering with us and helping bring our community together. We’re so grateful for your support!

🍦 Happy National Ice Cream Day! 🍦

We asked our team to share their favorite ice cream flavors, and the answers were just as unique as they are! From Mint Chocolate Chip and Chocolate Chip to Bubble Gum, Black Licorice, and everything in between, there's definitely something for everyone.

And then there's Dr. Rogers...who would like everyone to know it's Chocolate Chip. Not Mint Chocolate Chip. Not Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. Just. Chocolate. Chip. 😂🍫
