Taking care of your mental health is always in style. August is National Wellness Month, and we’re celebrating the small choices that help us feel more balanced, supported, and connected.

It’s kinda chic to ask for help, set boundaries, celebrate progress, and make time to rest. Because wellness isn’t about having everything figured out, it’s about taking steps that support your well-being.

Last month was Disability Pride Month, observed each year in recognition of the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), signed into law on July 26, 1990.

This year's theme, "The World Works Better With Us," reminded us that our communities are stronger when everyone has the opportunity to belong, be heard, and contribute.

To celebrate, members of our team chose a message that resonated most with them, highlighting the importance of inclusion, accessibility, and seeing the person, not the diagnosis. We celebrate the dignity, rights, and contributions of people with disabilities and reaffirm our commitment to building communities where everyone belongs.

We’re grateful to everyone who joined Penndel Mental Health Center for a night at the ballpark with the Trenton Thunder Baseball last week! Even with a shortened game, it was a wonderful opportunity to come together with our community, enjoy the evening, and support a great cause.

The generosity shown through our 50/50 raffle helps support PMHC programs and services that provide care, resources, and support to individuals and families throughout our community. We also want to recognize the Blumenstock family and the Bus Driver Bob crew for their continued support and for bringing together such a strong group of supporters each year. Your dedication helps make this event so special.

We appreciate everyone who came out, cheered, and helped make the night a success. We’re already looking forward to the next time we can cheer on the Thunder together!
