If you have been to Jesi Mifsud classes, you've heard her say, "Yoga is not a movement practice. It's an energy management system.".

This has been on full display in 2026. Everyone has had a bumpy year, in one way or another. Whether it's career shifts, health issues, family crisis, a feeling of being ungrounded, and more.

What we do on the mat (in class) is to give you a set of tools that you can use in everyday situations. Breathing to reset the nervous system to help you fall asleep or speed up healing or release feelings of despair/anxiety. Yoga Tune Upยฎ ball rolling to release tight connective tissue to ease pain. Mantra to still the mind and allow you to feel a sense of calm. Pranayama to create balance in mind+body+spirit. Surya Namaskar to guide you towards meditation.

Jesi also says, "the only thing we have any control over is our reaction to a situation.". These tools are what aid you in this.

Sitting in the Chai Corner sharing a cup with friends and just "being" is the sole reason this space exists.

When you enter an Indian home, the first thing you're greeted with is a cup of chai. Chai is love. It's a warm hug from the inside out.

Have you experienced our Chai Corner? ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™

Ikigai: A Way of Living. Jesi Mifsud shared a blog post a couple of weeks ago with this graphic and title and there has been buzz in the studio about ikigai.

Have you seen this graphic before? Have you heard about ikigai before today? Have you contemplated the intersection of these 4 areas of your life? Are you living your ikigai?

It's a great place to begin a conversation with yourself and others. Also ikigai can shift as you go through the seasons of your life.

We would love to hear in the comments.

So many conversations about "feeling off" at the studio. Is it the crazy weather, Mercury in retrograde, the state of the world? Or all of the above?

Jesi Mifsud always reminds people that when your body shifts from its norm into something that is abnormal for YOU, pay attention. Something is not right and your body is communicating this to you.

The start of all disease is inflammation. It starts small--a little whisper. And then it grows to a shout. And then it pokes you. Next it shoves you. Finally, if you're still not listening, it throws a brick at your head.

Listen while it's whispering. Because if it takes the brick, the path back to health is going to be a lot more rocky.

An easy yoga pose to maintain balance is Legs up the Wall. Every night. 20-30 minutes. Your nervous system will thank you.

And a regular, traditional yoga practice focusing on pranayama and poses that are Ayurvedically aligned are the ones we should be practicing. A 5000 year old practice is chock full of wisdom.
