With a heavy heart, I'm here to say what most of you probably already know - our dear Rae has left this earth. 7 weeks ago yesterday,but the investigation just closed. Her children, siblings, close friends, and I are beyond devastated and we will never be the same. She was a light and a port in a storm, always there for us when we needed her. She was beautiful, brilliant,and funny, but what shone the brightest was her lifelong heart to help those in need. I saw this demonstrated when she was a child and it was what drew her to her career as a massage therapist. We will miss her always ~~ twila

1/3 of single mothers live in poverty

Women are still victimized by sexual violence:
33% of women are likely to be abused
4.7 million American women experience physical violence by an intimate partner
Women in the U.S. military are more likely to be r***d by fellow soldiers than killed in combat

Women are still underrepresented in leadership:
19% of all members of Congress are women
Of 50 state governors, 4 are women (8%)
Of the Fortune 500 companies, 25 are led by women CEOs (5%)
