Got some big decisions coming up, especially finding the right RV and getting water and solar systems figured out. To everyone who's already living this lifestyle: If you were starting over with almost nothing, what's the FIRST thing you'd spend money on? I'm genuinely looking for advice, and will be reading the comments. 🌲❤️

Day 10 of trying to build a life we don't need a vacation from. 🌲

No house. No RV yet. Just a tent, a little solar power, an outdoor kitchen, and a whole lot of figuring s**t out as we go.

Is it comfortable? Not always. Is it easy? Hell no. But for the first time in a while, it feels like we're working toward something that's actually ours.

We're not trying to get rich out here. We're trying to build a life where every waking hour doesn't have to be spent earning the right to exist.

Little by little, this empty piece of land is becoming our home base. Next big step? Finding the right RV so we can take this freedom on the road.

If you've ever lived off-grid, homesteaded, or traveled full-time in an RV, we'd love some advice. What's one thing you wish you'd known when you started?

Ever get the feeling we're doing this whole life thing backwards?
Working our lives away just to afford somewhere to sleep before going back to work.
Meanwhile, everything our souls actually crave is out here. Fresh air. Peace. Freedom. Time.
We're starting over with a whole lot less, hoping to build a life worth a whole lot more.
Tell me I'm not the only one tired of paying just to exist.

I’m starting to realize something. For years I thought the answer was always making more money. More income. More overtime. More hustle. But what happens when instead you start removing the expenses? You need less. You stress less. You suddenly have choices again.
Got a long way to go, but this experiment living simpler and more off-grid is already changing how I look at everything. What expense would you get rid of first if you could?
