There is a difference between glamorizing teen pregnancy and refusing to shame a young woman because she is pregnant.
Teen and young moms deserve more than the care that is simply available to them because they have Medicaid. They deserve more than being handed a provider, a plan, or a set of decisions because they may not yet understand that they have options.
They are women, too.
And they deserve to feel safe, heard, supported, educated, and respected.
Supporting teen mothers does not mean encouraging teen pregnancy. It means normalizing safe spaces where growth is promoted, judgment is not cast, education is offered, resources are accessible, and autonomy is protected.
It means recognizing that a young mother may need more community around her—not less.
At Wild Rose, our teen moms—our Wild Flowers—deserve the same intentional, relationship-based care we strive to give every woman who walks through our doors. Their age does not make their voice less important. Their circumstances do not make them less deserving. And their insurance should never determine the quality of care, compassion, or respect they receive.
This is a huge part of the heart behind our nonprofit: creating a space where young mothers can be surrounded by resources, education, mentorship, support, and people who genuinely want to see both mother and baby thrive.
Today, we welcomed our youngest teen mama yet. 🌹
And from the very beginning of her journey to the other side of postpartum, our goal is to make sure she knows one thing:
You have a voice. You have choices. You are capable of growth. And you do not have to navigate motherhood alone.
No judgment.
No shame.
Just education, resources, accountability, autonomy, community, and a whole lot of love.
Because sometimes a Wild Flower simply needs the right environment to bloom. 🌹
