First United Methodist Church of Pensacola & Center for Sacred Space are hosting the 4th annual mental health symposium “Finding Light in the Darkness” on Sunday, August 23 from 12:30 to 5:30pm. The event is open to all people. Topics will include: Anxiety, Depression, Grief & Loneliness, Religious Harm, Substance Misuse, and Trauma. Our 4th annual mental health symposium, Finding Light in the Darkness, which is a collaboration between Center for Sacred Space and First United Methodist Church of Pensacola, will be held on Sunday, August 23rd from 12:30pm to 5:30pm at FUMC.

The following peer support groups will be facilitated by a clinician and a spiritual director:
Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Grief & Loneliness, Substance Misuse, Religious Harm/Trauma

The only charge is for lunch. Limited spaces for childcare age 1-5th grade.

When an emergency happens, every piece of information matters.

The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office SAFE Program is a free, voluntary program designed to help first responders better assist individuals who may have autism, Alzheimer’s disease, Down syndrome, dementia, traumatic brain injuries, or other medical conditions that may affect communication or interactions during an emergency.

When you enroll, important information is entered into our dispatch system so responding deputies and first responders have a better understanding of an individual’s needs before they arrive. Participants also receive SAFE decals for their home and vehicles to help identify residences where someone may need a different approach.
