The Arc Gateway

The Arc Gateway The Arc Gateway provides services and support to children and adults with developmental disabilities The Arc Gateway serves more than 1,200 children and adults.

Programs range from early intervention services, pediatric therapy and child care to retirement programs for senior citizens. Day programs include basic academic classes and work opportunities at The Arc Gateway and throughout the community. Residential programs include six group homes in the community and support for individuals living in their own homes.

Watch out, because we've got some bowling superstars in our programs at The Arc Gateway!!

Both of our Pollak Training Center programs, Adult Enrichment and Learning Is Fun Everyday, took a trip down to Cordova Lanes Bowling Center!!! We're extremely grateful we get to provide life-enriching activities like these for our clients.

“I BELIEVE” SELF-ADVOCATE AWARD - A person served who best exemplifies The Arc Gateway mission by living, learning, working and playing in our community.

LUCY PETREE OUTSTANDING SERVICE AWARD - A person who has promoted The Arc Gateway causes in the state and community or in some special way performed unusual service for a child or adult who receives services.

W.D. POLLAK FRIENDSHIP AWARD - A person or group that has proved to be a true friend, advocate or benefactor to people with developmental disabilities.

PEARL NELSON ADVOCATE AWARD - A person who has advocated the unique qualities and individual potential of children and adults who have developmental disabilities and/or has positively influenced the attitudes of the community.

EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR AWARD - A teacher or aide who demonstrates exceptional spirit and understanding of students with developmental disabilities.

EMPLOYER OF THE YEAR AWARD - An employer who has been committed to hiring people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities for more than 2 years.

BELLE BEAR VISIONARY ACTIVIST AWARD - A volunteer who recognizes future needs and is willing to actively lead others in the pursuit of quality of life for those with developmental disabilities.

A selection committee will thoughtfully review submissions. Award recipients will be honored at our Annual Meeting on Tuesday, June 23rd from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at Echo Life Church. We encourage all supporters and nominees to attend this inspiring evening!

In case you missed it, our Children's Services Director, MaryAnn Bickerstaff, was chosen as an Angel in Our Midst!!!

We are incredibly grateful for the decades of care, compassion, and dedication MaryAnn has given to children and families throughout our community. There is truly no one more deserving of this recognition!!
