Namaste. I’m Jan, a spirited being, lover of life and longtime yogi. I hope this finds you healthy, happy, and peaceful. I believe in the universal goodness of all living beings and that we are all here to serve a purpose. For most of us, seeking this purpose is a lifelong process. My life journey has been an

adventure that has been one shaded with all the colors of the rainbow, with varying intensity at different times. I like to say that life is just one big lesson after another and I consider myself a student of life, always open to its infinite possibilities and I've come to learn that what I see is already within me. Yoga has been a part of my life journey for over 20 years, always helping me to stay grounded, reminding me to breathe, and bringing me back to my center when life starts to unravel. Yoga is holistic and deeply healing for the mind, body, and soul. After raising 2 kids and sending them off into the world, I embarked on the journey of living my yoga and received my 200 Hour teaching certificate from Sacred Moon Yoga School in 2021. Shortly after, I was called to India where I studied Yin Yoga and received my 100 Hour Yin Yoga teaching certificate from Shree Hari Yoga India. In January 2023, I completed my 300 Hour training in Holistic Yoga Therapy at Adi Yogpeeth Yoga School in Rishikesh India, which was based on the tradition and foundations of Hatha Yoga. I also have received my sound healing certification with Nada Shakti at Devi Music Ashram, also located in Rishikesh. This was a life changing experience as it reignited my passion for yoga and my desire to share yoga’s healing benefits to people everywhere. The yogic path is also a spiritual one, which can lead you to a higher level of self-awareness, self-trust, and self-love. Yoga brings balance and harmony to life and my personal practice has guided me to live my highest truth and to embrace understanding and compassion for all. I believe yoga is for everybody—and every BODY—and I want to help make it accessible to all. It is my honor to share the practice of yoga with you and I hope I can be a support for you on your own life journey. I will meet you wherever you are on your journey, without judgment or fear. I want to provide a safe space for you to explore yoga, connect and move with your breath, and honor your truth. I invite you to join me in practice. Come as you are and let us learn together. Come Flow and get Low with me tomorrow!

This 60-minute class balances effort and ease. We begin with a brief warm-up, then gradually build into more dynamic movement and a flowing sequence of poses that links breath to movement. In this portion of the practice, we generate gentle heat, build strength, and explore balance.

From there, we transition to the mat and slow things down with deep stretches and longer holds that target the connective tissues and support a greater range of motion. As the pace softens, we cultivate stillness, awareness, and presence. You’ll leave feeling energized, balanced, and calm.

Virabhadrasana III - Warrior 3

This pose not only strengthens and lengthens, but also challenges you mentally to stay focused and balanced. The key for me is to always come back to the breath and soften. It’s a fine balance of effort and ease. You can see in this photo, I need to work on keeping my hips squared. My raised leg is externally rotated and this tells me I’m leaning too hard onto my standing leg and need to get stronger in the core to help bring that left hip down a bit.
