Ms. Tesla Michelle Edloise McCall, age 32, peacefully transitioned from this earthly life at 6:37 am on Monday, October 12, 2026 at her home.

Tesla was born on July 16, 1994 to Angela Gayton and Tesla McCall. From the beginning, her life was a precious gift to her family. Throughout her journey, she created memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Tesla was known for her beautiful smile, which had a special way of brightening the days of those around her. She had a deep love for dance. As a former dancer, she found joy in expressing herself through movement and music. She especially loved to dance during family gatherings, bringing laughter, energy, and happiness to everyone around her. Her dancing was a beautiful reflection of her vibrant spirit and her ability to make every moment more joyful. Whether she was dancing to her favorite songs or simply enjoying the moment, Tesla had a way of bringing life to every room and making even the simplest moments unforgettable.

Tesla also had a creative spirit and a love for painting. Through her artwork, she had a special way of expressing herself and sharing a piece of who she was with the people she loved. Her paintings were more than just works of art; they were personal expressions of her creativity and love, and gifts that those who received them could treasure for years to come. Mr. Henry Lee Smith, 82, of Peoria, IL, passed away at 8:25 am on Monday, September 28, 2026 at Timbercreek Nursing Home, Pekin, IL.

Henry was born on May 9, 1944 in Newport, AR to Lee, Sr. and Ruby (Lawson) Smith.

Henry was a Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan and liked to watch them on TV. He was a very strong willed and independent minded person. Henry used to like to ride around in his motorized wheelchair in his neighborhood near Martin Luther King Park, where he lived with his brother Levi.

Henry leaves to cherish his most precious memories, two brothers, Alex “Levi” (Barbara) Smith, Sr. and Carl Smith both of Peoria, IL; three sisters, Pearl Gilmore, Janice Smith and Gean Smith all of Newport, AR; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Herman Smith, Willie Smith, Robert Smith and Lee Smith, Jr. and four sisters, Searcy Neal, Mary Slaughter, Sarah Jackson and Annie Gardner.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at Simons Mortuary Chapel with a visitation one-hour prior at 1:30 pm. Rev. Charles “Chuck” Brown will officiate.

Mr. Ronald Kirk Barrow, 59, of Galesburg, IL, passed away at 5:05 pm on Monday, September 28, 2026 at his residence.

Ronald was born on August 12, 1967 in Peoria, IL to Robert and Georgia (Lawson) Barrow.

Ronald worked at Midstate Manufacturing Company as a Grinder for many years.

Ronald leaves to cherish his most precious memories, one daughter, Heather Barrow of Chillicothe, IL; one sister, Lisa Houser of Indiana; one grandson, Eren Ellington; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Mother Imogene Deloris Jackson

Mr. Alfred “BJ” Thompson, 77, of Peoria, IL, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Alfred was born on January 29, 1949 in Maringouin, LA to Annie Thompson. He married Regina Ogle in December 1995 in Peoria, IL.

He retired after 32 years of service from the Illinois Department of Corrections.

BJ is survived by his wife and partner of more than thirty years, Regina Reed-Thompson of Peoria, IL; ten sons, Alfred Thompson Jr, Michael Johnson, Breon Harvey, Cory Craig, James (Hailey) Ogle, Jordan Ogle-Thompson, Demetrias Harris, Nicholas Reed, Corry (Brandy) Harris, Gary (Alison) Reed; two daughters, Kauntessa (Jason) Williams and Jayla Ogle; one brother, Charles Thompson.
BJ was blessed with 21 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother; one brother, James Thompson and one grandson, Michael Johnson II.

BJ had a deep love of family, friends, the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and good food.

Please join us to celebrate his life and love on Friday, October 23, 2026 from 5pm – 8pm at Raber's Event Center, 3000 W. Farmington Rd., Peoria, IL.
