Packed up some homemade elderberry syrup and my massage table for one final, deeply deserved prenatal session for a dear friend expecting her second.

Knowing what it feels like to navigate early motherhood unsupported made me promise myself I’d never let the moms in my circle feel that way. Being chosen to hold space for her during this sacred window is an honor I don’t take lightly.

Stopped by Surprise & Shine to check on my shelf and found that someone went Hulk-mode on the last bottle of perineal spray—ripping the lid right off, despite the shrink wrap.

I know it’s tempting to get a sniff of everything, but here is a quick behind-the-scenes reality: once a product is tampered with, I can’t sell it. Because it’s an intimate care product, safety and hygiene are a top priority.

R.I.P. to the profit on this bottle, but congratulations to it on its retirement🫡

Next time you want to try a product, look for the designated tester. If there isn’t one, don’t open the retail product! Let’s keep the shelves safe (and fully clothed) for everyone. 🧴✨

Maternity massage is so much more than just a relaxing spa day—it’s specialized clinical care. 🤰✨

Because pregnancy drastically changes your vascular system (including increased blood volume and clotting factors), jumping straight onto the table without a proper assessment is a major safety risk.

Before any prenatal client receives treatment, I always perform these three vital screens:

1️⃣ DVT Calf Check: Scanning for heat, redness, or deep pain that could indicate a deep vein blood clot.

2️⃣ Homan check: Checking the anterior lower leg for vascular changes or localized clots.

3️⃣ Pitting Edema Test: Pressing the lower extremities to ensure swelling is normal physiological edema, and not “pitting” edema, which can be a red flag for conditions like preeclampsia.

When you’re carrying precious cargo, your safety is my absolute priority. 🤍
