Jennifer Rickett, RN, Labor and Delivery at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, is being honored in this week’s Mission Partner Monday with an April DAISY Award for the compassionate care she provided during a deeply challenging birth experience.

She was recognized for her calm presence, steady support and unwavering commitment to both patient and family during a complex delivery.

Here is a snippet from the nomination that shares the impact of her care:

“I am nominating Nurse Jenny for a Daisy Award because of the extraordinary compassion, strength, and care she showed during one of the most difficult moments of our lives. From the very beginning of my wife's labor, Jenny was amazing. She took such great care of her and constantly reassured both of us throughout the entire process. She made us feel safe, heard, and supported every step of the way.”

What a great evening at the Central Illinois Emergency Expo!

Families had the opportunity to meet members of OSF LifeFlight, OSF Trauma Services and OSF Disaster Preparedness while learning important safety tips and exploring the specialized equipment used during emergencies.

From the LifeFlight helicopter to the DECON trailer and hands-on STOP THE BLEED® education, there was plenty to see and learn.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booths and to our Mission Partners who helped make the event a success. Together, we're helping build a safer, healthier community.

"I was unable to get to the hospital to say goodbye to my mother. Sister Subha held the phone while I spoke to my mother. She prayed with us for her. I will always be able to cherish her role in making me feel present in my distance."

🌟 Mission Partner Monday 🌟

This week, we're celebrating a special milestone for Tonya Backes, Supply Chain supervisor, who recently marked 25 years of service with OSF HealthCare!

For the past 25 years, Tonya has supported caregivers and helped ensure teams have the supplies and resources needed to provide exceptional care. She currently oversees Supply Chain operations supporting Emergency Department and ICU units.

When asked about her favorite part of her job, Tonya shared that she enjoys helping fellow Mission Partners, as well as patients and their families.
