Clocked in vs. clocked out. 🤍

When they’re clocked in, you know them as Dr. Jen, Dr. Lindy, and Dr. Kayla.

They’re caring for moms through pregnancy.
Snuggling babies between adjustments.
Helping kiddos feel comfortable in the office.
Caring for dads.
Listening to your stories.
And getting to know entire families as they grow.

But when they clock out?

They’re wives. Moms. Dog moms. Travelers. Sports fans. Adventure seekers. And people who are just as ready to get home to the people they love as you are. 🤍

And maybe that’s part of what makes the care at Ignite feel a little different.

The women caring for your family understand that life doesn’t stop when you leave the office.

There are babies to hold. Kids to raise. Relationships to nurture. Places to go. Memories to make. And a whole lot of life happening in between.

Clocked in or clocked out, family is kind of our thing. 🤍

It feels like the second the calendar fills up…

someone gets a runny nose.

Then someone else is exhausted.

Then the whole house feels a little off.

It is easy to blame germs alone.

But busy seasons can also mean less sleep, more stress, more rushing, more activities, and less time for the body to recover.

And all of that matters.

Your immune system does not work in isolation.

Sleep matters.

Nutrition matters.

Movement matters.

Stress matters.

Recovery matters.

And the nervous system helps the body respond and adapt to everything coming at it.

Chiropractic care is not about promising that your child will never get sick.

It is about supporting the bigger picture of how their body is moving, adapting, and handling the physical stress of everyday life.

Sometimes the goal is not to add more to the routine.

It is to help the body have a little more room to recover. 🤍

School brings plenty of germ exposure.

But that is not the only thing your child’s body is navigating all day.

There are early mornings.

Busy classrooms.

Long stretches of sitting.

Heavy backpacks.

Sports and activities.

Social pressure.

Homework.

Less downtime.

And a whole lot of sensory and emotional input.

That is a lot for a growing body to adapt to.

Sometimes that stress load starts showing up as things like:

🤍 Trouble winding down at night
🤍 More emotional reactions after school
🤍 Headaches or body tension
🤍 Changes in sleep
🤍 Feeling completely wiped out by the end of the day
🤍 A child who just seems a little more “off” than usual

This is why we talk about wellness as more than simply avoiding germs.

Sleep matters.

Movement matters.

Nutrition matters.

Downtime matters.

And the nervous system plays an important role in how the body responds and adapts to everything being thrown at it.

Pediatric chiropractic care gives us another opportunity to look at how your child’s body is handling the physical demands of their day and where they may be holding extra tension.

Because sometimes supporting your child through the school year is not just about what they are exposed to.

It is about helping their body handle everything that comes with it. 🤍

Some babies cry more.

Some babies are harder to settle.

And sometimes you keep hearing:

“They’re probably just fussy.”

But if your baby also seems stiff, arches often, prefers one side, struggles in certain positions or never seems completely comfortable, those little patterns can be worth looking at together.

Because fussiness is not always just about temperament.

Sometimes a baby may be having a harder time getting comfortable in their body.

Pediatric chiropractic care can help us look at things like:

🤍 Head preference
🤍 Neck and spinal mobility
🤍 Body tension
🤍 Arching or stiffness
🤍 Comfort in different positions
🤍 How easily baby settles

The goal is not to label every fussy baby as having a problem.

It is to pay attention when the same little clues keep showing up.

Because sometimes the crying is the loudest symptom.

But the smaller patterns are what help us understand the bigger picture. 🤍

Somehow we went from coworkers to work family with absolutely no volume control. 😂🤍

We work together.
We laugh together.
Apparently we perform together too. 🎤

There’s never a dull day at Ignite and we wouldn’t have this team any other way. 🤍

You put baby on their tummy.

And within seconds…

The crying starts.

Their arms get stuck underneath them.

They turn their head to the same side.

They arch.

Or they just seem completely uncomfortable.

It is easy to think:

“They just hate tummy time.”

But sometimes tummy time is showing you that a position feels harder for their body.

Babies need comfortable movement through their neck, shoulders, spine and hips to explore tummy time well. If they are holding tension or consistently favoring one side, being on their belly may feel like a lot more work.

Pediatric chiropractic care can help us look at things like:

🤍 Head preference
🤍 Neck and spinal mobility
🤍 Body tension
🤍 Shoulder and upper-body movement
🤍 Comfort turning both directions
🤍 How baby moves and responds in different positions

The goal is not to force your baby to stay on their tummy while they scream.

And tummy time does not have to start with long stretches on the floor.

Small amounts of comfortable practice matter too.

Sometimes “my baby hates tummy time” is simply a phase.

And sometimes it is a little clue that helps us understand how their body is moving.

Either way, it is worth looking at the whole baby. 🤍

You notice one side of your baby’s head looks a little flatter.

So naturally, that becomes the thing everyone focuses on.

But sometimes the flat spot is only part of the story.

A baby who consistently prefers one side may also have differences in neck mobility, body tension, how comfortably they turn, how they tolerate tummy time or how they position during feeding and sleep.

That is why we like to look beyond head shape alone.

Pediatric chiropractic care can help assess things like:

🤍 Head preference
🤍 Neck and spinal mobility
🤍 Body tension
🤍 Comfort turning both directions
🤍 Tummy time tolerance
🤍 How easily baby settles into different positions

The goal is not to chase a perfectly round head.

It is to understand why baby may be spending more time in one position and whether their body is moving comfortably in both directions.

Because sometimes the flat spot is the thing you can see.

The bigger pattern is what we really want to understand. 🤍
