✨Grady’s Story✨ Perfect Storm Baby
Grady had the hardest time being laid flat & being burped after feedings. This challenge showed up frequently throughout the day & night whenever we attempted to set him down. He would not settle, despite all efforts. This was not sustainable for anyone. Grady is 1 of 4, his siblings are 5 years old & younger. Bedtime was a juggle trying to get everyone what they needed.
These challenges made sleep & family routines a lot more difficult. We had an overtired baby who was unable to be laid down. Also having mom & dad run on low sleep was also adding to the stress & lowered mood to the household.
I found it very interesting that during the scan, Grady was very calm, but results showed his body was still operating in the “stress” zone. His body was in fight/flight.
Grady has now been able to happily lay down, playing with his siblings as they sing & show him books/toys. He’s been able to move his head to both sides equally. He’s starting to smile - right on track with his age’s milestone. He has been sleeping more consistently & normal stretches of time you’d expect of a 6 wk old. This has created such a positive impact in our family routines & less stress from the lack of sleep.
We have been going to Innate for over 5 years. We’ve loved everyone who works there! The welcoming people at the desk, it being so easy to get appointments scheduled that work with us. The kids are always excited to hear we’re going to the chiropractor & we trust them.
It’s hard to choose just one thing that’s been the biggest impact. The environment has always been family friendly, a clean facility, toys, books, a baby room with a changing table & rocking chair & staff who are very understanding & ready to jump at any need to be help. It’s always been fun for the kids to be adjusted. The doctors are silly & each of the kiddos jump up when it’s their turn.
We have loved watching the journey of them adjusting my oldest daughter (she started at 4 months old, now 5 years old). The other 3, had their new patient appointments scheduled before they were even born!
Thank you Grady and we love your family!🤍
