When I began considering whether GLP-1 medications belonged at The Infusion Studio, I knew I didn't want to offer them simply because they had become popular.

As a nurse, I wanted to understand the medications, the potential benefits, the risks, and most importantly — how to offer them responsibly.

After researching our options, establishing medical protocols, and finding a local pharmacy we felt comfortable working with, I felt this was a service that could genuinely benefit the right patients.

But I also believe these medications aren't for everyone.

My goal isn't to put as many people as possible on a GLP-1. It's to provide a place where someone can ask questions, be appropriately evaluated, understand what they're taking, and receive ongoing clinical monitoring if treatment is appropriate.

I've spent more than 18 years as a nurse, and one thing that experience has taught me is that good healthcare isn't about treating everyone the same. It's about looking at the person sitting in front of you.

That's the approach I want to bring to GLP-1 medication services at The Infusion Studio.

Education. Safety. Individualized medical care.

And sometimes, the right answer may be that a GLP-1 isn't the right option — and that's okay too.
