Spring Creek HCC recently welcomed junior and senior students from PA High School to perform “Las de Barranqo” for residents of the cultural program, Mi Hogar. Today, the Allaire and Spring Creek teams visited PAHS to present Certificates of Appreciation, gift cards, and Spring Creek mugs to the student cast, along with flowers and a mug for their mentors, Mrs. Irma Rivera, Advanced Spanish Literature teacher, and Mrs. Maria Diaz, Bilingual Theater Director. 🎭💙

Also in attendance were Co-Principals Mrs. Karla F. Garcia and Dr. Raquel Estremera, along with corporate representatives Kasia Bohaterewicz-Briody, Maciel Rivera, and Dr. Jorge Gonzalez Gomez, Spring Creek Mi Hogar Programs Director. Spring Creek and PAHS are two great neighbors with strong Spanish cultures, providing meaningful public service in one community. 🌟

The Spanish-speaking residents of Mi Hogar at Spring Creek Healthcare Center enjoyed an incredible performance by Perth Amboy High School students, directed by Mrs. Diaz and Mrs. Rivera. The students performed Las de Barrango, a 1908 Argentinian play by Gregorio de Laferrere that humorously explores a widow scheming to marry off her daughters to wealthy bachelors.

This culturally geared program brought joy, engagement, and entertainment to our residents, providing an opportunity for social interaction, cultural enrichment, and shared laughter. Spring Creek is proud to offer meaningful experiences that celebrate language, culture, and connection for those who call our community home. 💛

Los residentes de habla hispana de Mi Hogar en Spring Creek Healthcare Center disfrutaron de una increíble presentación de estudiantes de Perth Amboy High School, dirigidos por la Sra. Díaz y la Sra. Rivera. Los estudiantes representaron Las de Barrango, una obra argentina de 1908 de Gregorio de Laferrere que explora humorísticamente a una viuda que intenta casar a sus hijas con hombres adinerados.

Este programa cultural brindó alegría, interacción social y entretenimiento a nuestros residentes, ofreciendo una oportunidad para la conexión, la apreciación cultural y la risa compartida. Spring Creek se enorgullece de ofrecer experiencias significativas que celebran el idioma, la cultura y la conexión para quienes llaman a nuestra comunidad su hogar. 💛
