This morning one of our 5:30 am lovelies brought her son to class for his birthday. He wanted to cold plunge with the ladies too. For some reason I can’t post pics and videos on one post on this business page🙄. I have a video of him getting in the pool this morning. We got donuts because a birthday is a great excuse for donuts!

He did great and I think he enjoyed his time here with us today. One thing I loved was that muh lovelies have been “cold” plunging in my pool before class and then getting in the sauna before class begins. They asked if he wanted to do it too and he said yes. This morning those 2 yogis were running late but still committed to come FOR HIM❤️. I love muh peeps❤️❤️❤️ Everyone engaged with him and encouraged him. It was just the sweetest. We even played a few of his current favorite songs. I think he was bragging to his mom he could do a pose she couldn’t do haha!

His mama loved him well today and we are thankful she shared him with us❤️

Find your people. Build your tribe. I freakin love my tribe❤️❤️❤️. Each one of my class times has their own vibe and I love them ALL!!!! One of the many many things I love about each group is their inclusivity. They all connect well but when someone new starts coming they draw them in and each and every group does that❤️❤️❤️❤️.

My 5:30 am lovelies I call my crazies and there’s good reason for it😂. I have offered up my pool to cold plunge in while the water is still cool. Today it was 62. Some decided they wanted to get in before class and a couple waited til after class. Hubby warmed up the sauna so the ones before could get in and get warmed up before class started. One of muh lovelies didn’t want to cold plunge but she came for sauna time. Four of them squeezed into my 3 person sauna😂😂😂. My lovelies who did the plunge after class were total beast mode and stayed in 20 min 😳. I don’t have any pics of them. What was funny was one of them struggles sometimes to make it to 5:30 am yoga and she was here well before 5 this morning to jump in a cold pool😂

On Fridays we do a lot of playing around with inversions and arm balances and today I kept hearing how they had so much more energy for what we were doing. Felt strong and powerful and had so much energy. One went home and rode 5 more miles on her bike than she normally does💪🏻.

I was pondering all of this loveliness and positivity today and I am just beaming with delight. I couldn’t do all the things with them today but I can lead and guide them. I can encourage them which is my biggest flex. What I provide here is a safe space to explore. To be introduced to things you might not ever try otherwise and sometimes don’t even know exists. During class this morning we were doing zombie presses and one of our guys pressed up into a HANDSTAND!! This is why I don’t feel you need a beginners class. After your first class you are no longer a beginner you are a practicing yogi. This yogi is just in his second month of coming and when he inquired he was looking for beginner and basic classes. He can do more than basic. I teach all levels. I will guide you so you know how to move your body with very detailed cues. I will give you ways to modify and ways to intensify so we can all practice together at YOUR own capacity. I have yogis doing things my body isn’t accessing yet but I can help them explore so they can reach THEIR potential not mine or anyone else’s. I will not leave you behind. And just to clarify, we do not do these types of things in all classes. Most Friday 5:30 am yes but you won’t see this in most of the other classes.

Also offering up the pool for cold plunging is exposing some to things that is a bit intimidating. We did this last year and several cold plunged for the first time and loved it. Many began saying “I can’t do that.” Then they realized they could and actually enjoyed it. The whole purpose in providing these opportunities is to help you see there is a whole world of cool opportunities out there and most times fear holds us back from experiencing some pretty fantastic things in life. It might not be your thing but you never know til you try. Maybe just maybe you are missing out on something magical😉

As I was setting up for class tonight I was pondering muh lovelies. I am so blessed and beyond grateful for my tribe. Many of you know I have had a hip issue going on for over a month now and it has affected my movement which has affected my classes. I am currently getting therapy for it but the healing process is taking so long. I have learned what movements relieve it and which ones fire it up. This has given me an opportunity to better empathize with those with chronic pain. This has also educated me a ton for people experiencing similar issues. I know how to better meet their needs in classes and steer them away from poses or movements that will make them more miserable and know things to help bring temporary relief. I have also come to accept that yoga does not fix everything as bad as I wish it would haha! When you have something lasting longer than 2 weeks GO GET OUTSIDE HELP!! What I am experiencing is deeper than I can reach myself.

I have loved the support I have been given from my tribe. My 5:30 am yogis were super willing to do chair classes whenever I need to and as often as needed. I appreciate that so much. They know that they will benefit from whatever I throw their way in class and I appreciate that trust so much. I have also learned that my mornings are my toughest times for movement currently so setting up the night before is super helpful. I have been getting up extra early and cold plunging and doing sauna before class and giving myself 15-20 min before class to do miofascial release on all my areas with my current issue to get me functioning before class begins so I can offer them a great experience. My yogis in my other classes have been super gracious when I have had to cancel and telling me to listen to my body. I have had so many offers to help set up because that is currently the hardest thing for me to do. Of course I won’t let them except Nora haha! She stays and chats after 8:30 am class so she helps me set up for chair on Mondays. I’m getting a rhythm down and being proactive on being prepared for class so I don’t have to cancel.

I didn’t get many pics today… I forgot to get a pic of the set up and I didn’t get a pic of the full table 😞However, it was beautiful and the day was fabulous. My heart is so full🥰 It was a completely booked class today. I guess I need to start offering cupcakes to bump attendance 😂

A thank you to Kyia who just so happened to show up 30 min early and I let her help me. If you know me you know I have a hard time allowing anyone to help me. She put the whole table together and it was beautiful. That took a lot of stress off my plate.

I made 5 cakes worth of cupcakes😂 I couldn’t stop making cupcakes lol! We need options😂
Boston Cream,Strawberry, brown sugar vanilla buttercream on a regular yellow cake that I turned purple, snicker’s, and of course my ultimate favorite chocolate ganache 🤤. I took notes. More Boston Cream next time and iced coffee was where it was at. All that was gone. I had enough cupcakes that everyone was able to have 2😋

I heard several stories today of women who don’t love Mother’s Day for differing reasons… One told me they love sharing holidays with me (she also comes on Thanksgiving) and that warmed my heart.
I pondered those stories and our lovely time together today and it brought me to tears but in a good way. I get to love you. It is an honor and a privilege to share this space with you all but I GET TO LOVE YOU. THAT fills my heart. So Happy Mother’s Day to all you life-givers. Celebrate YOU!!❤️

Of course no event ever happens without the help and support from my husband that he does not sign up for😂 It’s always a lot of work for him and he is always willing to do whatever needs done. As I always say, you are loved well because I am loved well❤️

Also I just learned the concert I was going to attend had been cancelled so there WILL be Thursday evening class this week.

There are no Tuesday Evening classes this month as I’m using that time to develop the women’s only twerk fitness class. I had hoped it would be ready for this month but it isn’t. Shooting for June🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

But seriously, it is so we can function well outside of class. Not only did she put her leg up on the counter she is also balancing on one leg haha!! And have you ever tried to reach that part of your body? Dang hard lol!!
