Congratulations to our DAISY Award recipient, Andrea Alipoon, RN, from our med surg department!

Andrea was nominated by a patient for her outstanding compassion, faith and hope. She provided comfort and reassurance during the patient’s stay, sitting with them in the early morning hours, listening and offering calm, compassionate care. The patient shared, “I will forever be grateful and believe Andrea is truly deserving of this award.”

Thank you, Andrea, for your exceptional, patient-centered care.

We are deeply grateful to Nina and Dr. Ketan C. Mehta, co-founders of NeilMed Pharmaceuticals and longtime Sonoma County residents, who have made a transformative $5 million gift to Providence Santa Rosa Memorial Foundation in support of the Caring Together Initiative.

Their generosity will help establish the Mehta Family Imaging Center within the Hansel Family Care Center and expand access to imaging and diagnostics, cardiac care and women’s health services.

Together, we are building a healthier future for every patient and family we serve.

Caregivers from across our Providence Sonoma County hospitals proudly marched in Petaluma’s Butter & Egg Days Parade on Saturday, April 18. Joining them was Providence’s mobile clinic—showcasing our commitment to bringing care directly to the communities we serve and celebrating this year’s theme, “America’s Birthday, Petaluma Style.” 🐣🇺🇸

Thank you to the volunteers who organized Providence’s parade entry and made the day possible.

A special thanks to the King family—Malin, Kim and Dr. Lucas King—for hosting a Providence booth alongside Petaluma Valley Hospital Youth Ambassadors. Together, they welcomed the community with snacks, water, chicken tattoos, and information about PVH and our orthopedic services, including Mako robotic‑assisted technology.

We're looking forward to seeing everyone at the upcoming Healdsburg Twilight Parade on May 21 and Sonoma County Pride Parade on June 6!

We’re proud to share our new Faces of Providence video, which beautifully reflects who we are at Providence Sonoma County, encompassing Petaluma Valley, Santa Rosa Memorial and Healdsburg Hospitals.

This project highlights the authentic voices of our caregivers — people who show every day that caring for our community is more than a job. It’s personal. It’s meaningful. And it’s rooted in compassion, excellence and a deep sense of purpose.

We invite you to take a moment to watch and feel the heart of Providence Sonoma County through the stories of the people who make our hospitals special.

Watch here: http://provhealth.org/6188QSEv6

This video is part of a larger, statewide Faces of Providence initiative celebrating the caregivers and facilities that make up Providence across California.

Happy International Women's Day! 💞

✨ Today, we honor the women who started it all.

This International Women’s Day, we celebrate our courageous foundresses — women who opened schools, cared for the sick and stood beside communities when help was needed most.

💜 We’re grateful for their legacy — and for the women who carry it forward every day.
