"Let's Talk About It" was the theme at yesterday's Teen & Young Adult Summit hosted by Petersburg CSA and Crater VDH in Petersburg VA. The event engaged youth & young adults throughout the Crater Health District to discuss and learn more about health. Participants attended breakout sessions featuring relevant topics regarding healthy relationships, substance use, physical health and much more. Special thanks to Jackie Zemmitt and Katrina Saphrey for the invitation to participate and share prevention resources with our youth.

Congratulations and special thanks to all of our community partners who support evidence-based training for youth in order to prevent substance misuse, build resiliency, and promote mental wellbeing. Surry Co Youth & Family Resources, Colonial Heights Youth & Family Services, and Parenting Matters Educational Services all received training in the Too Good for Drugs Curriculum and are now equipped and excited to implement the program to youth in their communities.
