Today we celebrated a pretty incredible milestone…Beth’s 35th anniversary working alongside Dr. Shepherd! ❤️

For 35 years, Beth has been an invaluable part of Shepherd Chiropractic. From being our billing specialist and resident insurance expert to working the front desk and stepping in wherever she’s needed, Beth truly wears ALL the hats! 🎩

She knows the ins and outs of insurance like nobody else, has a wealth of knowledge about our office and our patients, and has been a steady, familiar face for generations of families who have walked through our doors.

35 years is an incredible accomplishment, and we are so grateful for the years of hard work, dedication, laughter, and countless contributions Beth has given to Shepherd Chiropractic.

We’d like to recognize someone who has been an important part of our clinic family since the very beginning.

If you’ve ever been welcomed by name at our clinic and made to feel right at home, you’ve met Missy. Missy has been one of the friendly faces greeting you at the front desk for nearly two decades. Throughout the years, she has worn countless hats, kept our office running smoothly, and made every patient feel welcomed and cared for. Her kindness, dedication, and genuine heart have touched so many lives, ours included.

While we are sad to see Missy move on to an opportunity that was meant just for her, we are incredibly grateful for everything she has given to our team and to this community. We wish her all the happiness and success she so deserves as she begins this next chapter.

Thank you, Missy, for 18 wonderful years. You will always be a cherished part of our clinic’s story. ❤️

🚨 BIG NEWS! 🚨

After helping build this office from the very beginning, Amy is officially trading in X-rays, traction hook ups and front desk multitasking for grandkid adventures and retirement fun! 🎉

If you've been a patient here, chances are Amy has made you smile and laugh at least once (or a hundred times). She's the master of taking the perfect X-ray and one of the biggest reasons our office feels like family.

To say she'll be missed is a huge understatement. The laughter, the energy, the care she gives to every patient, and her ability to somehow keep everything running smoothly are simply irreplaceable.

Amy, thank you for being part of this practice since day one and for pouring your heart into our patients and team for so many years. You've helped shape this office into what it is today.

Now it's your turn to enjoy a little more freedom, a lot more fun, and plenty of time making memories with family! ❤️

We are lucky to have Amy with us for two more Thursdays and she promises to come back and say hi a few times when needed!

I felt like I adjusted my younger self this week.

My parents always tell the story that when I was a baby, I wouldn’t sleep or be comforted unless I was held upright. They were exhausted first-time parents with a very unhappy baby, trying to figure it out with little sleep and a lot of stress.

This week, a mama brought in her infant daughter — bright blue eyes, completely miserable. Every time she tried to lay her on her back, she would scream. Not just fuss… a scream that pierced her heart. Mama knew something wasn’t right.

The moment I heard her story, I thought of my own parents.

With my pediatric training, I knew exactly what to look for — pressure and misalignment in the upper neck that can make it uncomfortable for a baby to lay flat and settle. After a careful evaluation, she had exactly what I suspected.

With a very gentle adjustment, she relaxed. Big smile. Wide eyes. Could lay on her back. The whole room shifted.

Two days later, mom told me, “She’s like a completely different kid. She lays comfortably. She soothes.”

And all I could think was… I wish my parents had known about chiropractic when I was little (and they will tell you the same). I wish I could hug them in those exhausted moments.

I can’t go back and adjust baby me.
But I can show up for families now.
