Hello everyone! With the holiday season here i would like to put a big ask out... As many of you know I work for Giving Austin Labor Support as the Storage Unit Coordinator & am the right hand with my boss in executing the FREE Bi-annual community baby showers we host 2x a year with Partners in Parenting
We have grown so much in the years I have worked for this non-profit organization. The need gets great every shower as the times get harder for families to try to give their kiddos the best with amazing starts.
I am asking anyone & everyone to dig deep and donate their items & time if they can. We need so many donations for not only our current clients in need but the upcoming spring shower & the other non-profit organizations we work alongside to ensure every family is given the opportunity of a beautiful start. Texas has the highest mortality rate for moms & babies and we are striving to ensure no one goes through this new journey alone. We all need a village of support, its the best way to survive and thrive in this world.
If you have gently used or new items for Pregnancy to age 2 PLEASE donate them locally( even kid consignment stores count) Don't give them to thrift stores which alot of the time trash them to landfills as they can't turn a real profit off them or deem them unsanitary.( We even take pumps, cloth diapers & bottles)
I also need as much help as I can get with sorting/bagging items in preparation once they are donated. And if anyone is interested in volunteering for the spring 2026 shower please reach out as well. We are able to offer signed community service hours.(Anyone under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult at all times while volunteering)
