This picture might look like scribbles, but it's scribbles that included turn-taking, joint engagement, laughter, imitation, and so much communication. It wasn't communication that happened verbally and that didn't make it any less powerful! This little one got their message across in a way to share that they were having fun, wanted aspects of our activity to continue, and thought some ideas were cool!
Two years ago, I started Where Language Blooms! On the verge of leaving speech therapy entirely, I reflected on the idea of loving my career but really not thriving in my current placement. So I changed the environment and what's occurred in the past two years since then is wonderful! :)
Grateful for each family that's been a part of WLB over the past 2 years. THANK YOU! :)
