Here is a great Sobriety testimony from the Valley's own Rock N Roll James

It works if you work it. My jefitos divorced 42 years ago. Throughout those 42 years there has been an anger element among our family when it came to my parents. My dad decided to clean up his act 26 years ago and was already 7 years in recovery by the time I decided to clean up my act. When I decided to get sober 19 years ago part of my program was to begin making amends and repairing the damage that my alcoholism and drug addiction had done not only to my kids and their mom but also my parents and brothers. Well my dad and I became Brothers in Recovery. My dad then attended an ACTS Retreat where I was asked to write a letter to him to be read on his last day of his retreat. I would read the letter to you but I don’t think I can get through it without breaking down a bit. Ever since then my Jefe now at 83 years of age has made an amazing transformation and has strived to be able to get together with his sons and their mother in a civil and amicable manner where we can actually sit down in one room and enjoy each other’s company. So my hopes and prayers were always for my brothers and parents to get over the anger and become a more united family where we can be there for each other. So capturing this moment with my dad hugging my mom and my mom finally being ok with it solidified my belief that through Jesus and Sobriety even some of the most damaged relationships can be restored. Never give up hope. You and your Sobriety can affect everyone that surrounds you and loves you in a true positive manner. Take that first step today.
