Eating disorders and disordered eating are rarely just about food.
They often reflect deeper experiences anxiety, perfectionism, trauma, difficult relationships, life transitions, or feeling disconnected from your own body. That's why lasting healing goes beyond changing eating behaviors alone.
In my practice, I take a whole-person, trauma-informed approach to recovery. Together, we explore not only the patterns surrounding food and body image, but also the emotions, experiences, and nervous system responses that have kept those patterns in place. By integrating somatic awareness, attachment-focused work, and evidence-based psychotherapy, we create space for healing that is both compassionate and sustainable.
Recovery isn't about striving for perfection it's about reconnecting with yourself, rebuilding trust in your body, and finding freedom from the thoughts and behaviors that no longer serve you.
If you're struggling with disordered eating, an eating disorder, body image concerns, or your relationship with food, you don't have to navigate it alone.
I currently offer both in-person and virtual therapy throughout Alabama and am accepting new clients. I'd be honored to support you on your journey toward true healing.
