One of the reasons we chose to use the word attunement is because it serves as a reminder and points back to the big idea of chiropractic, being TONE.
Similar to a guitar that has its strings tuned, when our nervous system is attuned, our expression or TONE is different. To us, it is less about adjusting a vertebrae “into place”, and more so impacting the being behind the bone, through their neurology. This places the emphasis on the how, rather than the what. Adjust being commonly linked to the bone, and attune (as we are implying) linked to the Being or more structurally the nerve system.
When we observe the state of the chiropractic profession, to us, it has drifted away from the principles the founders built it on. Furthermore, it was named chiro-practic, translated to “done by hand”. Yet, less and less chiropractors are using their hands, or even know how to use them. It’s one thing to have hands, but many are disconnected from them, using them as an extension of the head, rather than the heart. We are grateful for the principles chiropractic was founded on, and we want to keep them close as reminders for us and those who work with us.
