For Paul Small, the gift of life came from someone he’s loved since the day she was born: his daughter, Meredith Small Hibbard. In September 2017, Meredith donated a kidney to her father, restoring his health and ending his yearlong reliance on dialysis. Paul and his wife, Audrey, are now paying that gift forward with a contribution to Jefferson Health Thomas Jefferson University.

Today on World Pancreatic Cancer Day, we honor all who have been affected by pancreatic cancer. 💜 🎗️

Pancreatic cancer is difficult to find early and accounts for about 3% of all cancers diagnosed in the United States and about 8% of all cancer deaths, according to the American Cancer Society.

At the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center, we are committed to advancing scientific discoveries in order to better prevent, detect, and treat pancreatic cancer and build a more hopeful world for our patients and their loved ones.
