Ship 484 (SSS Philenape) is part of the Cradle of Liberty Council, BSA. Our ship is chartered by the Delaware River Yacht Club located in Northeast Philadelphia. Sea Scouting is an coeducational program for young adults between the ages 14 and 21 or 13 year old and have completed the eighth grade. Sea Scout advancement includes nautical customs, swimming, boating, marlinspike seamanship, piloting,

signaling, close order drills, cruising, gallery operations, sailing, working with ground tackles, first aid, navigation, boat maintenance, the history of the sea, lifesaving and lifesaving equipment, weather, and radios.

Served as dock master’s for our charter organization today, Delaware River Yacht Club helping dock boats for the annual poker run, at one point we had over 20 boats tied to the docks, always a good time.

Sea Scout Quartermaster Project Completed - Delaware River Yacht Club prepares for 100th Anniversary adding little curb appeal to the Delaware River boating community. Project total over 540 hours consisting of 12 work days. Noah D. Hall will move to Quartermaster Bridge of Review early June in his desire of the National Double Status: Eagle Scout & Quartermaster Ranks.
