We announced nearly $2 million in funding from The V Foundation for Cancer Research, which supports peer-reviewed cancer research. Grants were given to two CHOP researchers working on innovative methods for detecting and treating cancer in children. Learn more from Drs. Meet Hayes. After his cancer diagnosis last year, his family and community rallied around him, forming for the that same day. Within weeks, more than 300 people joined Team HayesStrong, raising more than $35,000 for pediatric cancer research and care for our Center.

Earlier this year, Hayes completed radiation and chemotherapy. Today, we're thrilled to share that he is doing well and has no evidence of disease!

On Sept. 27, Team HayesStrong will gather again on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway — this time to celebrate Hayes and his incredible journey.

“We get to walk that Parkway not as a family in the middle of a fight, but as a family that made it through.” -- Rachel, Hayes' mom.
