I am so excited to launch this second CDA course! While I will be offering both, this course is coded in the PA PD registry specifically for Infant & Toddler Pathways. I am launching my next CDA cohort for summer starting second week in June!
"This 120-hour Infant and Toddler CDA Preparation Program prepares candidates for the Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential through comprehensive coursework aligned with the Council for Professional Recognition Competency Standards and the Pennsylvania Professional Standards and Competencies for Early Childhood Educators (PSCECE).
The course is designed to support adult learners through interactive instruction, reflective practice, observation, portfolio development, and applied field-based learning experiences. Coursework emphasizes developmentally appropriate practice, responsive caregiving, health and safety, professionalism, family engagement, observation and assessment, and intentional teaching practices for infants and toddlers.
Instruction is delivered through synchronous Zoom instruction, asynchronous coursework in Google Classroom, independent reading assignments, reflective writing activities, portfolio coaching, and practical application within licensed early childhood settings. Candidates complete all required CDA portfolio components, including Resource Collection items, Competency Statements I–VI, and a Professional Philosophy Statement.
The course includes 120 clock hours of instruction consisting of live instruction, independent coursework, reflective assignments, quizzes, portfolio development, and applied learning activities. Successful completion of the course prepares candidates for the CDA Verification Visit and CDA Exam process."
