This workshop introduces a Person-Centered Trauma-Informed (PCTI) framework designed for creative arts therapists and counselors. Through case examples and group-based art therapy and counseling practices, participants will explore approaches that support empowered storytelling for trauma survivors.

Suggested materials:
• Drawing paper
• Pencil or pen and paper for notes
• Preferred drawing materials (markers, colored pencils, and/or crayons)
• Glue sticks
• Collage materials
• Scissors

The PAATA Graduate Student Research Award is now accepting applications. If you’ll earn your Master’s in Art Therapy by June 2026 and have completed your research this past academic year, you could be recognized!

How to apply:
1. Get nominated by your advisor or program director (each program can nominate up to 2 students)
2. Submit a PowerPoint summary or 300-word abstract to [email protected] by June 30, 2026 with the subject line, “Graduate Research Award Submission”

🎨 PAATA Diversity Grant Opportunity 🎨

PAATA is offering a $1,000 Diversity Grant to support students from ethnically and culturally diverse communities who are pursuing studies in art therapy in PA.

Applicants must:
✅ Be enrolled in a Pennsylvania-based Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral art therapy program
✅ Have a minimum GPA of 3.0
✅ Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
✅ Identify as part of an ethnically or culturally diverse community

Please submit the following materials:
✨ Resume
✨ Brief bio and photo
✨ Proof of current student enrollment
✨ Official or unofficial transcript
✨ Statement of Purpose (750 words or fewer)
✨ One letter of recommendation
