Today marks the beginning of Navaratri, a nine night celebration honoring Devi, the Divine Feminine and the many forms of goddess energy.

The word Navaratri comes from the Sanskrit words nava, meaning nine, and ratri, meaning night. Over these nine nights, Devi is honored in her many forms and qualities, including strength, courage, abundance, wisdom, compassion and the power to move through change. She represents Shakti, the divine energy that moves through all of us.

One of the most celebrated forms of Devi is Durga, the warrior goddess, she reminds us that strength doesn’t always mean force. Sometimes it means standing firmly in who we are, protecting what matters, and trusting our own inner power.

A beautiful reminder as we move into a new season: the power we seek is already within us. Wishing everyone a beautiful and meaningful Navaratri✨

We often think of yoga as asana: the poses we practice on the mat. But asana is just one of yoga’s eight limbs 🌿

Pranayama, the practice of working with the breath, is another.

Join adriana adelé for 8 weeks of Pranayama Practice Group starting on Tuesday, October 13 at 7:30 AM virtually to explore the breath as a tool for focus, regulation, energy, and connection.

Join Nikki Vilella for two workshops at Three Queens Yoga on Nov 7th!

Born and bred on the streets of New York City, Kula Flow is an alignment focused vinyasa style blending the rigor of Ashtanga with intelligent, creative sequencing. Expect a strong, dynamic practice with illuminating prop work, breath awareness, Uddiyana Bandha, core work, standing poses, balances, backbends, and optional inversions, with plenty of hands on assists throughout.

Come explore power, focus, and freedom in a practice that leaves you feeling both grounded and light✨

Kula Flow | NOV 7 at 12:30 PM

Explore the breath from both an anatomical and energetic perspective in this immersive workshop. We’ll look at how the breath moves through the body, its relationship to the nervous system, and how pranayama can support us both on and off the mat.

We’ll begin with a brief anatomy lesson before moving through a Kula Flow practice featuring more fiery breathwork, then shift into quieter pranayama practices to explore how the breath can create a more steady, spacious practice and a deeper savasana.

Anatomy of the Breath | NOV 7 at 3 PM

Dear Friends,

You may remember Three Queens Yoga’s fundraiser classes for Puentes de Salud back in 2025. If you had a chance to look at our 2025 Annual Report sent to you in June, you saw the real impact those classes made; and if not, you know the spirit behind them.

Monday, October 12, Puentes de Salud (Bridges of Health) is hosting Bridges to Our Roots, a celebration on the rooftop of the historic Building Bok in South Philadelphia. It’s built around food: real, authentic, delicious Latin cuisine from some of Philly’s best.

We’re talking the award-winning food of El Chingón, South Philly Barbacoa, Tequilas, Café Tinto, and more. Cultural perfromances plus free slasa + bachata dance lessons. Community. A night that honors where we come from and why we care for our neighbors.

If you appreciated the spirit of those yoga classes and the work they supported, you’ll connect with this event. Come for the food, stay for the people.
