We all know how good it feels to wake up after a truly great night of sleep. We all know how much more we can do when pain, anxiety, and fatigue aren’t in the way.

A peer reviewed study published in Brain Sciences in November 2024 paired those feelings with chiropractic care, after testing adults with chronic low back pain. Half received four weeks of chiropractic care. Half received no care. Researchers measured brain activity using EEG scans before and after. Not surveys. Not self reported outcomes. Actual brain scans.

The chiropractic group showed measurable changes in brain wave activity after just four weeks. The patterns associated with relaxation, focus, and restorative sleep all improved significantly. The control group showed none of these changes.

The real world outcomes matched the brain scan data. Significant improvements in sleep quality, anxiety, depression, fatigue, and pain. All measured. All in four weeks.

Your spine and your nervous system are connected to everything. When one works better, everything works better.

Chiropractic adjustments provide immediate relief and real progress toward feeling your best.

Yes, there are other parts of the process. Things like the muscle therapy and rehab recommendations we provide in our practice. But let’s appreciate this part for a second. It’s a great one.

A chiropractic adjustment dramatically and immediately decreases inflammatory chemicals in the body and stimulates pathways in the nervous system associated with feeling good, moving better, and improved coordination.

This stuff usually doesn’t bother me, but in this case, I had to speak up.

Most people with a rotator cuff injury are treating the wrong thing.

The neck pain, the headaches, the mid back tightness. That’s often your body compensating for a shoulder that was never fully addressed. You feel it everywhere except where it started.

Here are 6 things worth knowing if you or someone you know has been dealing with an old creaky shoulder.

And here’s the one that surprises people most. Even in the worst case full thickness tears, conservative care produces the same long term outcomes as surgery. Chiropractic, PT, and acupuncture before going under the knife. Almost every time.

The exception is younger athletes with severe tears who need to return to sport quickly. That’s one of the few cases where surgery makes sense as a first step.

Episode 22 of Feeling Good Feels Good covers the full rotator cuff story. The anatomy, the evolutionary history, the most common injuries, and how to actually recover.
