Congratulations to Krista Osborne, MSN, RN, clinical practice leader for the NICU Specialty ICU Unit at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, on receiving the 2026 TJUH DAISY Nurse Educator Award. Krista was recognized in multiple nominations for the steady support she provided during a time of unit transition while keeping education, patient safety, and quality outcomes at the center of practice. Her nominations showed her sharing regular practice updates, creating “Krista’s Korner,” supporting infection and fall-prevention efforts, and guiding staff through practice changes with clear expectations and constructive feedback. Thank you, Krista, for strengthening teamwork and helping nurses feel informed, supported, and prepared to provide safe patient care.

Big milestone for our team!

We recently completed the final procedure in the ShiraTronics clinical trial. Throughout the study, our team performed more than 20 permanent implants, making Jefferson Health one of the leading enrolling sites.

While the trial is no longer enrolling participants, we're incredibly proud to have contributed to research that has the potential to improve treatment options for patients.
