Did your Medicaid renewal packet just show up in the mail? 📬 Don't wait on it. Open it today, check the due date, and get help renewing.

If a renewal isn't completed by the due date, coverage can end. The good news: you don't have to fill it out alone.

Spectrum's financial counselors can help you renew Medicaid on site at any of our health centers or by phone at (215) 471-2761. For extra help, we partner with Pointcare, and you'll find Pointcare materials at our centers. Both of our teams also reach out before renewal dates, so keep an eye out for our calls.

When the weather cools and you switch shoes, check for dry skin, cracks, blisters, or spots that feel numb or sore. Moisturize dry skin (skip between the toes), and if something hurts or feels off, don't wait it out.

Been meaning to schedule your breast screening? 🎀 Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a great reminder, and getting started is easier than you might think:

2. Book a visit with your primary care or OB/GYN provider
3. Ask about a breast screening referral

That's it! Your provider will talk with you about which screening is right for you and when to start. You don't need to wait until you feel a lump. Screening can find changes before you notice symptoms.

Myth or fact? 🎀 For Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we're busting a few myths we hear a lot. How many did you already know?

❌ Myth: Only women with a family history get breast cancer.
✅ Fact: Most people diagnosed have no family history.

❌ Myth: You only need a mammogram if you feel a lump.
✅ Fact: Screening can find changes before you notice symptoms.

❌ Myth: Men can't get breast cancer.
✅ Fact: Men can get it too, though it's rare.

❌ Myth: Finding a lump means you have cancer.
✅ Fact: Most breast lumps are not cancer, but any change should be checked by your provider.

The best next step? Talk to your provider about screening. Our OB/GYN team can help you figure out what's right for you and get your screening scheduled.

Got a new phone number or moved recently? 📱 Take two minutes today to update your info with Medicaid, so you don't miss your renewal.

Pennsylvania DHS uses the phone number and address it has on file to reach you about your renewal. If either one is out of date, you could miss an important notice, and if a renewal isn't finished by the due date, coverage can end.

Here's how to update it:
• Log in to COMPASS at dhs.pa.gov/COMPASS or use the myCOMPASS PA mobile app
• Sign up for DHS texts and emails at dhs.pa.gov/text to get reminders faster

Medicaid is changing in 2027. Here is what you need to know. 💙

Starting January 1, 2027, some adults on PA Medicaid will need to do 80 hours a month of work, volunteering, school or job training. Some people don't have to. This is called an exemption.

✅ In 2027, you can tell DHS your hours yourself. But you still have to answer DHS, or you could lose coverage.
✅ Some adults will renew every 6 months, not once a year.
✅ Keep your address and phone number up to date with DHS.
✅ Watch for texts from 69217. That is DHS.
