🌿 What if treating your allergies could be as simple as a few drops a day?

Allergy drops are a form of allergy immunotherapy that can help your body become less sensitive to specific allergens over time.

Think of it as **small, consistent doses of your allergens** designed to help train your immune system to respond differently. šŸ¤

If allergies are affecting your everyday life, allergy drops may be an option worth discussing with an allergy specialist.

I’m looking for a palynologist šŸ‘€šŸ”¬

Someone who really knows pollen morphology, identification, microscopy — the tiny details that separate one grain from another.

If you’re a palynologist, work in pollen research, or know someone who does, please send me a DM! I’d love to connect.

And if you know that person who knows way too much about pollen… tag them below. šŸŒ¾šŸŒ³šŸ”¬

🌼 Flagstaff’s pollen season is shifting.

Last week’s Flagstaff air sample showed more chenopod-type w**d pollen, which is a good sign that our late-summer w**ds and wildflowers are starting to produce.

🌿 Chenopod/w**d pollen ↑
🌾 Grass pollen is still showing up
šŸ„ Mold is way down compared with the wetter post-monsoon samples

This is exactly why we keep sampling the air instead of relying only on traditional pollen calendars. Northern Arizona’s pollen picture changes quickly with rain, heat, elevation and what’s actually blooming.

If your allergies suddenly feel different… the air may be changing too.

🌲 Sedona’s air is changing… but it’s not quiet yet.

This week’s sample showed moderate grass pollen, moderate tree pollen, and moderate mold. šŸŒ¾šŸƒšŸ„

One of the biggest surprises? I found around 20 nearly identical tree pollen grains that look incredibly fresh. Tree pollen isn’t something we’d normally expect this time of year, so we’re digging deeper to determine whether it’s coming from a very local source or being stirred back into the air after recent monsoon weather.

Grass pollen continues to be active, and while mold levels have dropped compared to last week, they’re still significant enough to cause symptoms for many people.

This is exactly why we sample the air under the microscope instead of relying only on seasonal calendars. Nature doesn’t always follow the textbook.

Have you noticed your allergies acting up in Sedona this week?

Flagstaff’s air is staying relatively quiet, but not mold 🌲

This week’s PollyKit sample showed low overall pollen, with grass being the most common pollen grain we found. We also picked up a few grains of chenopod (quinoa/goosefoot family), oak, mesquite, pine, and walnut.

The bigger story? We identified six different types of fungal spores, showing that mold continues to be a bigger player than pollen right now.

Every report is based on a real air sample collected in Flagstaff and analyzed under the microscope—no forecasting, just what’s actually in the air.

Have your allergies been more pollen… or mold lately? šŸ‘‡

The algorithm is so funny. I can spend hours making well thought out and educational reels, but sometimes they don't do nearly as well as random short ones...!!

šŸŒŖļø Haboob Hangover šŸŒµšŸ”¬

If you’re feeling the aftermath of the haboob, you’re not imagining it.

Even after the wall of dust settles, the air can stay loaded with fine dust, leftover pollen, and mold spores that were stirred up by the storm. When the air quality is poor, it’s a good day to limit time outdoors, keep your windows closed, and let your home’s air filtration do the heavy lifting.

The haboob may be over, but the story isn’t. That’s why I keep checking the air under the microscope.

Are you feeling the haboob hangover today? 🤧
