Did I tell you I saved a patient’s life? One of my patient’s came in last Thursday and talked to me about some confusion he was having. His doctor had downplayed it. His symptoms did not sound good to me. I told him he needed to get seen and not wait. He asked what could it be. I said a stroke, mini strokes, a brain bleed, dementia….
I texted him that night to check in on him and he never responded. I called the next morning and he didn’t answer. Then he called me right back and told me “You saved my life! I just came out of brain surgery. He had a brain bleed. They said if he didn’t come in that day, he would be dead.
