HAPPY LABOR DAY FROM AHEHEE’ SHIDINE’E HOMECARE!

Today, we want to take a moment to recognize and THANK our incredible caregiving team. 🌻

Every day, our Direct Care Workers show up with compassion, patience, dedication, and love for the people we are honored to serve. The work you do matters. The impact you make in the lives of our elders, relatives, and families cannot be measured.

YOU are the heart of Ahehee’ Shidine’e Homecare. 💛

As a small way of saying Ahehee’ "THANK YOU!" our caregivers working the holiday will receive DOUBLE-TIME PAY, as long as their scheduled shift immediately before the holiday and their scheduled shift immediately after the holiday are fully worked, in accordance with our holiday pay policy.

While our caregivers may not have the holiday off, our main office will be CLOSED on Labor Day so our administrative team can also take a moment to rest and recharge.

📱 Need us? We will still be available by text or phone call for anything that cannot wait. 602-644-1707

To every caregiver who continues to show up, serve with compassion, and care for our people: WE APPRECIATE YOU. WE THANK YOU. ❤️

Ahehee’ — Thank You, My People.

🌻 HELLO, SEPTEMBER! 🌻

A new month brings new beginnings, new opportunities, and a whole lot to look forward to here at Ahehee’ Shidine’e Homecare! 💛

Over the past few weeks, we’ve had the privilege of welcoming new clients and new caregivers to our Ahehee’ Shidine’e family as we assist individuals and families affected by the closure of another homecare agency.

We know transitions like this can feel overwhelming. That’s why our team is working diligently to expedite the onboarding process while making sure every client and caregiver feels informed, welcomed, and supported.

From learning how to communicate with our office, understanding who to contact when you need assistance, submitting timesheets, reviewing our payroll calendar, and becoming familiar with our processes. We believe in taking the time to make proper introductions and establish a strong relationship from the very beginning.

Because at Ahehee’ Shidine’e, your first impression matters to us. ❤️

And more importantly, customer service matters.

We want our clients and caregivers to know that when you call our office, you are not just a number. We want you to feel heard, respected, valued, and supported.

✨ Come experience the Ahehee’ Shidine’e difference.
✨ Where communication matters.
✨ Where customer service is valued.
✨ Where compassion is at the heart of what we do.

If you are a new client or caregiver joining us, welcome to the Ahehee’ Shidine’e family! We are grateful for the opportunity to serve you. 💛

Yá’át’ééh Bini’anit’ą́ąts’ósí! 🌽✨

Hello, August: the season of the “Ripening of Early Crops.”

And just like those first slender ears of corn, we’re harvesting the fruits of our labor… even if our post is a little late! 🙏🏽

As CEO, this month has been a full-circle moment of growth:

📦 Delivering critical supplies to those who need them
📋 Onboarding new team members with policies rooted in integrity
💳 Navigating AHCCCS payment shifts & the state’s new fiscal budget
⚙️ Keeping day-to-day operations running while planting seeds for tomorrow

It’s been busy. It’s been challenging. But it’s also been beautiful, because we don’t do this alone.

This month is packed with exciting events, and we are deeply grateful to every organization, partner, and community member who continues to invite us to the table. Your inclusion means the world.

Here’s to the early harvest, may it remind us that even the smallest ripening is worth celebrating.

Ahéhee’ for walking this journey with us. ❤️

As caregivers and clients, you know better than anyone the importance of supporting our Elders with dignity and respect. This election is a chance to make our voices heard for those who care for our community.

We need leaders like Senator Lisa Murkowski who champion legislation that directly impacts our work and the lives of our Elders.

Senator Murkowski has been a key sponsor of the Native ELDER Act (Enhancing Native Elders’ Longevity, Dignity, Empowerment, and Respect Act). This bill, included in the Older Americans Act Reauthorization, focuses on critical needs we see every day.

Here’s why this matters for us:

· Prioritizing In-Home Care & Modifications: The act prioritizes funding for home modifications and in-home services so Elders can age safely in their own homes. This helps maintain independence and keeps families together.
• Support for Caregivers: It includes provisions to evaluate the Native American Caregiver Support Program, seeking to enhance support for family members acting as caregivers.
• A Voice for Tribes: The legislation establishes an Older Americans Tribal Advisory Committee, ensuring that Native Elders have a direct say in federal programs designed to serve them.

As Senator Murkowski noted, “We must ensure that Elders have the support they need to age in the communities they call home.”

✨Let’s vote for the leaders who respect our culture and fight for our caregivers and Elders. Please Make a plan to vote in this election.

Share this message and remind your community that our votes can make a difference.

Happy 4th of July from Ahehee’ Shidine’e Homecare! ❤️🤍💙

As you celebrate with family, friends, and community, we want to send a gentle reminder to protect our elders and disabled relatives, especially if you plan on attending crowded events, fireworks shows, or gatherings.

A few safety tips to keep our loved ones comfortable and safe:
+Bring hearing protection for elders who may be sensitive to loud sounds
+Keep medications, water, and any needed supplies easily accessible
+Help loved ones avoid extreme heat by providing shade, hydration, and breaks
+Stay close in crowded areas to prevent anyone from becoming separated
+Watch for signs of overheating, fatigue, or discomfort
+If your loved one uses mobility equipment, make sure pathways are safe and accessible
+Check in often and make sure they feel included, comfortable, and supported

❤️🤍💙
From our family to yours, have a safe and joyful Independence Day!
