🧠 Check Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself (Emotionally)

Everybody talks about boundaries…
But not enough people talk about the internal check that has to happen first.

Before you say yes…
Before you overextend…
Before you react…

Pause and ask yourself:

✨ Am I in my Emotional Mind?
– Acting off feelings, hurt, frustration, urgency
– Wanting to respond right now

✨ Am I in my Logical Mind?
– Thinking only about facts, roles, responsibilities
– Ignoring how I actually feel

✨ Or am I in my Wise Mind?
– Where truth and emotion meet
– Where peace makes the decision
– Where you can respond… not react

Because let’s be real…
Some of us say yes out of guilt.
Some of us say yes out of fear.
Some of us say yes because we don’t want to disappoint people.

But wise mind says:
👉 “I can care… and still say no.”
👉 “I can love you… and still choose me.”
👉 “I can show up… without abandoning myself.”

💭 Boundaries are not just spoken…
They are discerned first.

So next time you feel pulled—

Naomi is a graduate-level intern therapist who offers compassionate, thoughtful, and trauma-informed care. She is closely supervised by licensed clinicians and is now accepting new clients.

💬 Intern therapy sessions are offered at a reduced rate to increase access to care while maintaining high clinical and ethical standards.
