A very expensive beam that’s now butting up against very suspicious markings..

*IF* what I am seeing is in fact organic growth of some sort or even just lumber mold, where the wood meets wood, the “organic material” will remain. Even if the rest of the material on the beam around it is removed and the wood is treated prior to drywall, the trapped growth between the wood gets to stay. Just waiting for a moisture event to occur.

Building perfect homes is a near impossible task to accomplish! Do what you can and where you can to help make your home as healthy as possible during the building process. Like they’re VERY thorough pre-drywall inspection! A good one is worth every single penny…

My goal here is not to bash or talk poorly on anyone or the builder in this video but rather to bring awareness to the public as to what can happen while building homes.

And with my recent viral videos on the shape of the lumber sold at hardware stores and the multitude of comments from construction professionals saying their deliveries are covered in growth, to lumberyard workers stating their guided to hide that lumber in the center of the piles, this is not surprising to see.

I’m done waiting for the landlord to take care if things the right way. Unfortunately, we are not in a position to move and we cannot wait for them any longer, so I will be taking care of it myself! For the sake of my families health, the mold has got to go.

Unfortunately, many popular cleaning practices can actually cause mold problems in homes... a steam mop can be a wonderful tool, when used on the right material!

What’s sad is, this video is taken directly from the seller of the product. They are actively promoting the use of this on inappropriate materials leading their customers to believe that this is okay to do..

Knowledge is power! Don’t fall pray to unhealthy marketing ploys.

Dryer sheets. We’ve got beef! lol Wafting off of people like a cartoon character… and filling neighborhoods with their “glorious smell”.

Switch to cotton dryer balls folks. And stop using toxic laundry detergent! The toxic laundry detergent is the reason why you need to use the dryer sheets for static in the first place…
